Ms. Russell is a proud Chicago native and graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Education. She is currently enrolled in her final semester of Graduate School completing a Master of Arts Degree in Early Education and Special Education. With over ten years of teaching experience some of her previous responsibilities include Inclusion Specialist, Curriculum Coordinator, Implementation Lead, and Learning Diagnostic Assessment Liaison. In her spare time she enjoys being a HUGE Harry Potter fan. Not only has she read each book over 7 times she binge watches the marathons every chance she gets. Yet, more than Harry her heart belongs to children as she loves watching them grow into little amazing humans with big personalities. Ms. Russell is super excited about introducing her newest PreK friends to STEM learning!
Ms. Wooten is a Texas native and graduate of the University of Mississippi, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. She has over five years of early education experience as an Assistant Teacher in various settings from Daycare Early Learning to Elementary School. She has a unique professional background and notes her most rewarding experience was being an ESL Teacher in China. This position afforded a wonderful opportunity to immerse herself within a cultural experience where she explored differentiated instructional strategies and perfected usage with well-known technological tools from around the world. She is a lover of animals but a fur-mom to three rescue dogs. Watch out K-1 a furry class pet "may" be coming your way. Ms. Wooten looks forward to a year full of learning and growing with all of her new Kindergarten friends!
Mr. Shamley is Georgia native and graduate of The University of Georgia, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Media Studies with a Certificate in Music Business. Along with a myriad of experiences working as a Teacher Assistant, Summer Camp Instructor and Academic Tutor, he is pursing enrollment in Georgia's Alternative Teacher Certification Program next Spring. In his spare time he enjoys writing screen plays and working as a part time television production assistant with a few popular national television shows filming in the Atlanta Metropolitan area. As a lover of Music, Multi-Media Production and of course the "T" in STEM; Mr. Shamley is extremely excited to begin working with our little scholars on all things Technology meets Music!
